There's only one thing better than an Amber Benson novel, and that's having you read it to us. Thank you so much for giving us a sneak peek at How to be Death. I can't wait to read the book it's an excellent series and you should be very proud of it. Hearing your Jarvis voice always makes me smile thanks for reading it in character. I hope there will be a How to be Death audio book released in the near future too.
The guest appearance of Sir Richard Bitely made me laugh out loud. I had a cat and he had a knack of appearing whenever I was trying to do something and demand attention! I miss him but that brought back good memories. :-)
It won't surprise you to learn that I pre-ordered my copy of How to be Death some months ago. I've got my fingers crossed that one of the stores on your upcoming tour can post me a signed copy if I buy online.
Okay I have started to ramble now so I'll shut up but I just want to wish you every success with the book!
I too think that the only thing better than a new Amber Benson book is an Amber Benson book read in your dulcet tones. I have had your voice in my head as that of my chanteuse heroine, Katie Molloy, for six years now, as well you know but hearing you give voice to your own characters is intoxicating on a whole different level.
Okay, I'm taking advantage of internet anonimaty and say what my good sense would never allow me to say in person: huge crush, Miss Benson, huge crush. From your Tara days to these glorious days of youtube readings and twitter and facebook and proximity to your fanbase and whatnot. So there. Huge, huge crush.
I have loved you ever since your Tara days, but I think I just fell IN love. The language you use is so eloquent! An actress, a singer, a producer, and an incredible writer . . . you have captured my heart :) . I cannot wait to read this book!
AMBER BENSON co-wrote and directed the animated web-series, Ghosts of Albion, (with Christopher Golden) for the BBC. The duo then novelized the series in two books for Random House. Her first solo novel, Death's Daughter, will be published by Penguin in 2009 with a children's book for Simon and Schuster called, Among The Ghosts, to follow later that year. As an actress, Benson spent three seasons as Tara Maclay on the cult show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She has also written, produced, and directed three feature films, including her latest, Drones, which she co-directed with Adam Busch and will be released later this year.
Absolutely Awesome Amber!!!
